Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a way of changing any part of your life, on your terms. You will not be judged or told what to think or do. You will not be in a ‘deep sleep’ or heavy trance, you will always have control, you will never do anything you don’t want to do, and you can have your eyes open or closed. Using guided techniques, we will work through the problem you are experiencing, and with a bit of help, enable you to come up with the answers your brain needs to find the solution and act on it.

It takes place in your home, or a safe location of your choosing.

We believe that trance is an every day state. Do you ever do that thing where you’re driving somewhere, and then once arrived, wonder where part of the journey went? Or when you’re watching television, and suddenly your hand hits the bottom of the tube of Pringles, when you’d only meant to have a couple? Or where you see a dog running along in the park, and believe it’s going to change direction, come charging at you, and probably eat you to death, when it’s actually more interested in the stick it’s spotted? Trance is like your autopilot, or subconscious – it does what it does for what it believes is the good of you. Sometimes, this subconscious can be doing things which protect you in some way that you may or may not be aware of, but make you behave in a way you don’t necessarily want to. That’s when we can get together, and change the way you think to make the situation better.

We combine traditional hypnotherapy techniques with NLP, cognitive behavioural techniques and modern neuro-science to create a tailor-made treatment plan for you. As well as helping your sort the issues within the therapy session, we will teach you techniques to use yourself at home. We want you to take action, and take control.
